Description
Crispy, golden-brown paleo tuna cakes made in the air fryer! This single-serve tuna cake recipe only takes 10 minutes to make while still being packing a punch of flavor and high-quality protein! Paleo, SCD-friendly, Grain-Free, Gluten-Free, Oil-free, Dairy-Free, High-Protein.
Ingredients
- 1, 5oz. can of wild caught tuna in water
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. coconut flour
- 1 tbsp tapioca flour
- 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. coconut aminos
- 1 tsp. sriracha
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp. dried chives
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare an air fryer basket by lining it with a sheet of parchment paper and set aside.
- Open the can of tuna, rinsing well under cold water and draining off all of the liquid. Use a fork to finely shred the tuna and set aside.
- In a small dish, combine the egg, coconut flour, tapioca flour, lemon juice, coconut aminos, sriracha, minced garlic, parsley, chives, salt and pepper. Whisk well before pouring over the shredded tuna.
- Mix the tuna and egg mixture until well-combined and form into 3-5 tuna cakes with your hands.
- Place the tuna cakes into the prepared air fryer basket and cook at 350F for 10 minutes, until the outside of the tuna cakes are deeply golden-brown in color.
- Garnish with extra sriracha and parsley and enjoy warm!
