SCD Goat Cheese Waffles

Description

Soft and fluffy grain-free, specific carbohydrate diet (SCD) friendly waffles filled with melted goat cheese! Grain-free, gluten-free, refined-sugar-free, SCD, high protein. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/3 cup almond flour
  • 1 tbsp. coconut flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp. unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. apple cider vinegar 
  • 2 tbsp. crumbled goat cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat a waffle iron. 
  2. In a bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Stir well. 
  3. Add in the egg, almond milk, vanilla, and ACV. Stir again until a smooth waffle batter forms. 
  4. Fold in the crumbled goat cheese so that its well-distributed throughout the batter.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour the batter on to the iron. Close it and cook until the indicator light turns on, about 5 minutes.
