Description
A sweet, slightly crunchy butter pecan flavored snack for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet! Similar to a graham cracker in texture with the best nutty, buttery flavor. SCD, refined-sugar-free, grain-free, gluten-free.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups pecan flour
- 2 tbsp. butter, melted
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450F. Lightly grease a 9×9″ pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
- Combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Stir well until a thick dough forms.
- Evenly press the dough into the greased pan. The dough should be about 1/4″ thick.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden-brown and crispy.
- Slice immediately with a sharp knife into about 36 squares. Let the squares cool completely in the pan before removing.
- Store leftover squares in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 6 months.
