The perfect fudgy, decadent paleo brownies with a hint of warm cinnamon to balance out the rich dark chocolate flavor. Trust me when I say that these healthier cinnamon spiced brownies are a magical twist on the classic!
The Perfect Cinnamon Brownies
Brownies need to check off a couple boxes for me: fudge, rich, sweet, dense, preferably a hint of salt, ultra chocolatey. I’m not asking for too much in what I would consider to be a perfect brownie, BUT these paleo brownies may have raised my standards!
There’s something special about the slight hint of warm cinnamon that perfectly compliments the deep dark chocolate flavor of these paleo brownies. Even if you aren’t a huge cinnamon fan, when cinnamon is paired with chocolate it almost takes on a whole different character. Cinnamon is my personal favorite spice to ever exist, so I may also be slightly biased!
The Perfect Paleo Brownies
Making perfect paleo brownies is actually much easier than it sounds! All it takes are a few simple ingredient swaps. I used paleo ingredients such as 100% unsweetened dark chocolate, monk fruit, pecan butter, and almond flour to replace some of the traditional brownie ingredients. Since I started following a Paleo style diet to help manage a few autoimmune diseases, finding a recipe for perfect paleo brownies was of top priority!
I’ve been a self-proclaimed chocoholic for as long as I can remember. I used to ask for exclusively Lindt chocolate in my stocking, order the “Chocoholic” blizzard at Dairy Queen, opt for chocolate birthday cake with chocolate icing over anything else… I’m sure you get the point. Naturally, brownies have always been a favorite dessert of mine for obvious reasons!
Although I do occasionally miss whipping up a classic boxed brownie mix, these perfect paleo cinnamon spiced brownies are just as incredible. What really sends this recipe over the edge in terms of being officially named as my perfect paleo brownies is how amazing I feel after eating them! Because they’re made with natural, nourishing paleo ingredients and no added sugar, these brownies are not only delicious but I also feel incredible after eating them.
